KidSTART is a programme that provides support to children 6 years and below from low-income families. It aims to give children a good start in life by empowering families to build strong foundations for their children and foster positive child development outcomes.

Research has shown that experiences in a child’s early years can significantly influence his physical, cognitive and social development, and these have an impact on his or her lifelong outcomes.

As the appointed Social Service Agency anchoring KidSTART in the Woodlands and Sembawang regions, we provide support for child development through:

  • Coordinating and strengthening holistic services for families where needed
  • Monitoring the developmental progress of children from birth onwards

Since 2016, KidSTART has reached out to more than 1,000 children and is progressively expanding nationwide.

Regular home visits to support parents and ensure the child’s healthy development in the early years

Preschool enrolment support and monitoring of children’s development progress

Close partnerships with community agencies and key stakeholders across early childhood, health and social service sectors to support the families effectively
