Care Corner Active Ageing Centres (AAC) offer a range of services that support vulnerable seniors located within the vicinity of the centre. We provide seniors with timely access to integrated health and social care for them to age healthily and with dignity.

Our AACs in Woodlands are looking for ad hoc volunteers to befriend seniors in the area!

Volunteers must be:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Able to converse in English and at least 1 other language/dialect.
  • Comfortable to converse and engage with seniors.
  • Able to commit at least once every 2 weeks for 3 hours, for a minimum period of 3 months.

Volunteers are expected to:

  • Visit the seniors at their homes and check in on their general well-being.
  • Act as a bridge of communication between the staff and the senior(s) to relay any help they may require.
  • Converse and interact with the seniors and provide them with social connection.
  • Encourage and bring seniors to the centre to participate in Active Ageing Programmes.

Note: All volunteers will be briefed and trained before the first volunteer session.
