About the Activity:
Our Care Corner Active Ageing Centres (AAC) and Active Ageing Centres (Care) offer a range of services that support vulnerable seniors. Located within their neighbourhoods, we provide seniors with timely access to integrated health and social care for them to age healthily and with dignity.
Many seniors struggle with the upkeep of their homes due to health or mobility issues, and your help can make a world of difference.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to brighten the day of an elderly neighbor by helping them maintain a clean and comfortable living space. Your efforts will not only improve their quality of life but also foster a sense of connection and care that is often missing in their daily routines.
Volunteers must be:
- Minimum 21 years old
- Comfortable with doing basic household chores
- Able to commit minimally two times per month
Volunteers are required to:
- Wipe Surfaces: Wipe down tables, and other frequently used surfaces
- Sweep and Mop the Flooring
- Dust: Dust surfaces, shelves, and electronics.
- Clean Bathrooms: Scrub toilets, clean sinks, wipe down counters, and clean mirrors.
- Empty Trash Bins: Dispose of trash and recycling.
