Our Story

Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981 amid a climate of changes in the early 1980s — intensifying economic competition in the region and the widening rift between the wealthy and the lower-income, particularly the Chinese blue-collar workers.

Seeing them live on a low income with few opportunities for a formal education, our founders held onto a strong belief of empowering them to realise their potential, and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Over the years, Care Corner has evolved into a leading social service agency. With 46 service points across Singapore, we serve children with special learning needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds, youth-at-risk, troubled families, vulnerable seniors and individuals with counselling and mental health needs.

Our SG Cares Volunteer Centres (VC) at Tampines, Toa Payoh & Woodlands seek to promote volunteerism by connecting volunteers with key community partners and building volunteer management capabilities.

At Care Corner, we continuously strive to develop new innovative programmes to support the needs of our community.

Vision

Care To Every Corner In Singapore

Mission

Building hope and promoting well-being of individuals and families in community through social and health care services.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."

— Matthew 25:35-36

Our Heartbeat

"Holistic continuum of care woven into the fabric of community"

A Continuum Of Care Delivered On The Ground

Care Corner serves as the bridge between the community and government to provide a continuum of integrated care for individuals as they transition through different life stages.

By being on the ground, we work closely with our service users, community partners and the private sector to deliver timely care and support. Together, we enable people in need to rise above their circumstances.

We are woven into the fabric of community.

Promote Collaboration And Participation

We seek to build a community of ‘people helpers’ filled with hope and love — and we do this through collaborations and partnerships which yield new innovative models of care.

Our Values Shape Delivery

At the heart of what we do is our core values of integrity, compassion, authenticity, respect and excellence.

Every service user interaction begins with us listening; listening to their problems, hopes, fears, and aspirations. By being empathetic and client-centric, every relationship that we forge is a journey of care with deep connections that endure.
