Set up in 1994, this centre started operation in a nondescript cargo container located in one of the oldest communities in Singapore. Since then, it has been established itself with the residents in providing a network of social services catering to both the young and old.

Programmes and Services

Kidstart Programme
Kidstart is a new holistic children's programme encompassing four
components: Alpha-Zee Club, Urbanbees, Getway and My Parent My Child.

W.A.Y. (We Are Youths)
W.A.Y. is a programme that seeks to provide opportunities for low-income families to be developed holistically. Through the different activities, we hope to be a resource to help youths develop in 3 areas- their Academic Achievement, Learning of Life and Social Skills and Socioemotional Development.

Elderly Programme
To Identify High-risk and vulnerable elders while involving them in activities at the centre to promote active aging. Members can benefit from the lessons such as languages, arts and crafts, singing, cooking, dancing, and exercise. Members can also take part in kopi session, health talks, outing, birthday and other festive celebrations as well.

HELP A CHILD NOW
Help a Child Now is a financial scheme where an individual donor donates an amount on a monthly basis, to a schooling child matched to him to receive his donation, as a form of asistance to help the Child go through school without the fear of dropping-out due to financial constraints.

This programme started with the hope that Children from low income families can have equal standing to complete the educational path.

It's goal is also to inculcate in these benefiting Children the value of "Paying It Forward".
They learn to help other needy people in society once they become financially independant themselves.

Support Groups
Support groups are conducted periodically, bringing together community members who are going through similar life transitions and difficulties. Group sessions help members develop social support networks, financial resources, life skills, friendships and emotional coping. Groups for single mothers, survivors of marital infidelity, domestic violence and suicides are some of which the agency may provide based on the identified community needs at each specific given time period.
