Care Corner

Founded in a climate of changes in the early 1980s as economic competition in the region intensified, and the rift between the elites and the poor widened, our founder, Reverend Tan Tian Ser and a group of passionate individuals conceived the idea of Care Corner in 1981 to serve the needs of the needy (particularly the blue-collar workers) neglected by a fast expanding economy.

Over the past 29 years, the growth of Care Corner revolved around the pains and heartache of a developing nation. And in a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has been maintaining a relentless pursuit to offer new and innovative initiatives to support the struggle of the underclass.

We are concerned to meet human needs as they are felt, enable people to face life's challenges and foster enjoyment of and reverence for life. In the discharge of these roles our sole motivation is the love of God, Care Corner not being a church or a proselytizing agency.

Our services are offered to all, without regard to race, language or religion. Each year thousands of beneficiaries are served by our network of 23 centres.

Objective

We aim to serve, strengthen and
